Virtual Painting Classes for K-12 Schools

When in-person field trips aren’t feasible — for hybrid classrooms, distance learning programs, or schools outside our Inland Empire service area — Purple Easel offers virtual painting classes designed specifically for K-12 students.

You get the same hands-on painting experience, instructor-led step-by-step, with kids actually creating something they can take home. We’ve delivered virtual painting classes to schools across California and beyond.

Two Virtual Formats

Live Broadcast Zoom Webinar with Interactive Chat: Our instructor leads the class in real time. Students can ask questions, show their work, get feedback. Best for engagement.

  • 20-painter minimum
  • $28 per painter — class only (your school provides supplies)
  • $32 per painter — class plus all supplies shipped to the school
  • 60-90 minute typical session
  • You pick the painting from our kid-friendly catalog

Pre-Recorded Painting Class: Students follow along at their own pace. Best for asynchronous learning or larger groups across multiple periods.

  • One-time purchase for your school
  • Supplies shipping available separately
  • Reusable across multiple classes / school years
  • Email for current pricing

What Students Need

For the live webinar with supplies-shipped option, we send everything to one location (school address works fine):

  • Canvas (sized to age group)
  • Acrylic paint set
  • Brushes (3-4 sizes)
  • Apron or smock
  • Paper plate palette + cup for water

Teachers need: a screen visible to all students (TV, projector, or individual laptops), basic art-friendly space (no carpet ideally), and 30 minutes of setup time before the session.

Typical Use Cases

  • Art enrichment for elementary classrooms without dedicated art teachers
  • Hybrid learning days where in-person field trips aren’t possible
  • Multi-campus or multi-classroom events with shared content
  • Counselor-led wellness or mindfulness activities
  • Distance learning programs or home-school co-ops

How to Book

Virtual classes need at least 2 weeks lead time for the live format (supplies shipping) or 1 week for class-only. Email reservations@purpleeasel.com with your preferred date, student count, grade level, and format (live vs pre-recorded). You can also review options on our school events page.
