Paint and Sip in Rancho Cucamonga: A Local Guide

If you live in Rancho Cucamonga, the best paint and sip option isn’t actually in RC — it’s a 12-minute drive away in Ontario. Purple Easel is the Inland Empire’s largest paint and sip studio, and a significant portion of our regulars come from Rancho Cucamonga.

This guide covers what to expect, when to visit, and how to make the short drive worth it.

Getting Here from Rancho Cucamonga

From most of Rancho Cucamonga, Purple Easel is about 12 minutes via Foothill Boulevard and Archibald Avenue (or the 10 Freeway and Archibald exit). We’re in Daybreak Plaza in Ontario, with free parking right out front. From Victoria Gardens, you’re about 8 minutes away.

What Paint and Sip Actually Is at Purple Easel

You bring your own beverages (wine, beer, sparkling water, whatever you like — that’s the BYOB part) and snacks. We provide everything else: canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, easels, aprons, and instruction.

An instructor walks you through the painting step by step. By the end of 2-3 hours, you have a finished painting to take home. No prior art experience needed — most of our painters are first-timers.

Pricing

  • $20 standard 2-hour paintings (premium painter member pricing available)
  • $25-30 for premium events (themed nights, larger paintings)
  • $45 for 3-hour paintings (more detailed work)
  • $30 for kid paintings (90-minute format)

What Events We Run

Public paint nights run 5-7 evenings per week and weekend afternoons. The mix usually includes:

  • Date night paintings (romantic landscapes, sunsets, beach scenes)
  • Kids painting sessions (weekend mornings, weekday afternoons during summer/breaks)
  • Neon Nights (UV-reactive paint, special events that sell out fast)
  • Seasonal themed nights (fall pumpkins, winter snowscapes, spring florals)
  • Paint Your Pet (custom pet portraits from a photo you bring)

See this month’s calendar for what’s coming up.

Private Parties from Rancho Cucamonga

Beyond public events, we host private painting parties at our Ontario studio: bridal showers, birthday parties, corporate team building, sports banquets, school events, just-because gatherings. 10-person minimum at our studio.

We also do away events — we’ll bring everything to your home, office, church, or venue in Rancho Cucamonga. 15-person minimum, no setup fee. More on private parties here.

Tips for First-Timers from RC

  • Reserve seats online — events fill up, especially weekend nights
  • Show up 10 minutes early to set up your snacks and drinks
  • Wear something you don’t mind getting acrylic paint on (we provide aprons but stuff happens)
  • Bring a friend — paint nights are more fun in pairs and small groups
  • Don’t worry about “being good at art” — that’s not what this is about
