Paint and Sip in Corona: A 25-Minute Drive to Purple Easel

Corona doesn’t have a dedicated paint and sip studio, but Purple Easel in Ontario is a manageable 25-minute drive via the 91 East to the 15 North. For Corona residents looking for a creative night out, weekend afternoon activity, or group celebration venue, here’s what to know.

Getting From Corona to Purple Easel

Take the 91 East to the 15 North, exit at Jurupa or Mission, head west to Daybreak Plaza on Mission Boulevard in Ontario. About 25 minutes without traffic, longer during peak commute hours. Free parking right out front.

What Paint and Sip Actually Is

You bring whatever beverages and snacks you want (BYOB — wine, beer, sparkling water, snacks, the whole spread). We provide everything for the painting: canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, easels, aprons, and step-by-step instruction.

An instructor walks the whole room through the painting in real time. 2-3 hours later, you leave with a finished canvas. No art experience required — most painters are first-timers.

Event Mix at Purple Easel

  • Public paint nights — 5-7 evenings per week, plus weekend days. $20 base for 2-hour standard paintings.
  • Three-hour paintings — more detailed work, $45 per seat.
  • Kids paintings — $30 per kid for 90 minutes, weekends and breaks. Birthday parties available.
  • Neon Nights — UV-reactive themed events that tend to sell out fast.
  • Paint Your Pet — bring a photo, leave with a custom pet portrait.
  • Seasonal nights — pumpkin paintings in fall, snowscapes in winter, florals in spring.

Practical Tips

  • Reserve seats online ahead of time — weekend evenings fill, especially for themed nights
  • Plan for 35-40 minutes total travel buffer during PM commute hours
  • Designated driver if you plan to drink — BYOB plus highway driving home
  • Wear paint-friendly clothes (aprons help but stuff happens)
  • Bring a friend or partner — paint nights are best in pairs and small groups
